Hi guys,
I have just downloaded the patchset 2376472 (8.1.7.4) to apply onto my current database 8.1.7.0.0.
My environment has the following details:
O/S : HP-UX B.11.00 U 9000/800
RDBMS : 8.1.7.0.0
What utility do I need to extract/uncompress the downloaded file on the HP box?

Depends on what is used to bundle the file.
Usually 'uncompress' and 'tar' is enough. With new Oracle patches, you may need to use 'jar' if you see any *.jar extension (NOTE: jar works very much like tar).

Hi all,
Thanks for all your contributions.
I just realized that the downloaded file actually required WinZip for uncompressing (*.zip). No Unix uncompress utility is required.
