Hi,
We recently patched our oracle solaris server with solaris 5.8 patches. After which we are facing some issues on oracle being able to lock system objects/files etc., The solaris administrator said that there might be some restriction with oracle 7.3.4 on what patches should the OS (solaris 5.8) can be patched to. Because he thinks that certain patches for solaris 8 OS might not be compatible or might be causing issues with 7.3.4, as the oracle version is old. Where can we find this information? Or should I be contacting oracle? Other problem is that we have many databaseson this , which is still not migrated, and 7.3.4 is not supported by oracle. Any help , url, documentation will help, so that we will try to to update/patch the OS anymore.

Thanks
